Newsletter - Summer 2019

Hello Family and Friends!

After a few months away, we thought it would be good to give an update on what’s been going on with our family.

The first week of June, we closed on our home in Albuquerque and signed a lease for a rental just 8 minutes away from the seminary. We were so excited to have a place to live in Pennsylvania finally.  Mid-June, we headed out to our new home. But sadly, the previous tenants had not kept up with the house. So it wasn’t until July 6th that we were able to move in.

During all of this, Jeremy started classes at Westminster on July 1st with the Hebrew 1 intensive course.  He went to class every morning and would watch lectures every afternoon. Then he would spend the evenings studying and completing his homework.

July 13th, our sweet baby girl, was born.  Ariyah Noelle was born on Saturday at 3:17 pm and weighed just 5 pounds and 13 oz and was 18” tall.

She was a tiny little thing. Jeremy, the baby, and I spent a few days in the hospital and were thrilled to come home that Monday.

The kids were so excited to meet their little Ariyah. My mother-in-law, Susie, had taken care of them. We also came home to a house that had been entirely unpacked by my mom. We were blessed beyond measure by both of our moms who took such good care of our kids and us.

Jeremy finished Hebrew 1 at the end of June and started Hebrew 2, just two days later.

Hebrew 2 was quite intense. His class was exciting and extremely challenging.

I looked forward to hearing about it each day and was especially excited to hear how many of the truths he learned would impact his study and then preaching of the Word.

The Summer was challenging for our family, leaving behind family and friends as we moved across the country was very hard, and we struggled to make it through a day while so many plans were not going as we had hoped.

This update would get very long if I detailed out the many struggles we faced ... breaking down on the way out, complications during delivery, getting a place to stay while our home was unlivable, the moving truck being late, and on and on.  But through it all, we couldn’t help but be thankful to God for His grace.

Our hearts are full of thankfulness that we are doing something we never thought possible... Jeremy is going to seminary at Westminster. And even in the trials, we are so thankful that God is sanctifying us... He is refining His children.

We give God all the praise and glory for what He has done. We hope to provide an update every few months. If you’d like to receive updates in your inbox, please subscribe below with your email address.

Thank you for your prayers and love. To God, be the glory, great things He is doing.

In Him,

Charissa
